I haven’t personally tried loading the bobbin with embroidery floss, but it seems like it could work as long as the tension in the floss stays consistent.
If I were going to try it, I’d clean the wax out of the needle and experiment with the tension adjustment by trying different wrap methods around the pin on the handle.
